The overall goal of ARTES 4.0 Business Applications can be summarised as the development of pre-operational services – possibly in partnership – for a wide range of users through the combination of different systems. Business Applications activities aim at: i) collecting user feedback for better tuning of the applications and the operation of all elements involved, ii) developing commercial sustainable space based applications by linking user needs to corresponding solutions incorporating space assets requesting only limited technology adaptations, iii) demonstrating to users and stakeholders that the proposed solutions work in their operational environment and are compatible with their operational practices, iv) utilising at least one space asset (such as Satellite Communications, Earth Observation, Satellite Navigation, Human Spaceflight, or any other space asset, service or technology), leading to a better exploitation of existing space capacity and know-how together with a better understanding of how they should evolve to respond to user needs. ARTES 4.0 Business Applications operates via a ‘Call for Proposals’ which is always open. Partners respond with proposals as they find it opportune. The activities proposed in response to this ‘Call for Proposals’ must be relevant to above mentioned ARTES 4.0 Business Applications objectives. Although not a competitive tender action, this Call for Proposals’ is published on EMITS in order to achieve a higher degree of visibility. The closing date that is mentioned upon issue of the Call for Proposals is established solely for technical reasons connected with EMITS and can be disregarded.
For more information and access to the open call for proposals documents see EMITS webpage.
